Background: Three angels-Gabriel, Ivy, and Bethany-are sent by heaven to Venus Cove to bring good to the world while battlling darkness. Gabriel is a warrior, Ivy is a healer, and Bethany is the youngest and most comparable to a human. When Bethany meets Xavier Woods, it's very hard for either of them to resist the attraction. Since romances between humans and angels aren't permitted, Bethany's siblings try everything to intervene, but Bethany and Xavier are too attached. When the new boy, Jake Thorn, arrives to town, strange things happen and Bethany, Gabriel, Ivy, and Xavier have to try to stop them.

Thoughts: I really enjoyed the book overall. It was kind of slow in the beginning, but after the first three chapters, it was so much better. While I am not an angel myself, I felt Bethany was really easy to relate to, she had the same problems most teenage girls have, "What should I wear to prom?", "Do you think soandso really likes me?", etc. etc. The conflict was very interesting. I definitely spent many hours at night to get through the book because I wanted to know what happens. I loved the writing style as well, it was very easy to understand. It's a really good read, I would recommend it for sure!
